2018 Witnessed considerable achievements for the Centre in research, community involvement and teaching. In our first year working in collaboration with researchers in Leicester and beyond we have achieved a number of funding awards, publications and developed community interventions.
We have successfully established an expert steering committee, bringing together academic expertise, clinical knowledge and community perspectives to drive our Centre’s research agenda and ensure our work meets a local need. Furthermore, established in 2018 is the Community Partners Panel and Research Volunteers register. We have a panel of 16 members from different backgrounds, who represent the voice of not only themselves but a large number of community organisations that they are involved with. Thereby the work of centre is informed by the community and learning and outcomes can be disseminated widely.
