We are developing a survey that captures patient experience of using mealtime insulin. This survey will ask questions on topics such as preferences for device characteristics and the impact of mealtime insulin on your lifestyle.
To develop a survey that is meaningful to patients, we want to get feedback on the aspects of mealtime insulin that matter most to patients. We want to gather this feedback via a focus group with mealtime insulin users to help us identify the aspects that matter most.
How will we collect your feedback?
We will hold a focus group of 8 – 10 people. During the focus group participants will be asked to discuss different aspects of mealtime insulin treatment in terms of importance. This discussion will help inform the nal survey design. All responses will remain con dential upon completion of the focus group.
Who can participate?
Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes patients that have used mealtime insulin for at least 30 days
What is the timing for the focus group?
The focus group will be held in late-March or early-April at the Leicester Diabetes Centre, Leicester General Hospital The focus group will last for 90 minutes and you will not need to prepare anything in advance. Participants will be reimbursed for their time at a rate of £50 an hour.
