We are looking for a Research and Innovation Business Manager to help shape the strategic direction and lead on planning new developments and formulating recommendations for the BME Health Centre and the Real World Evidence Unit.
This is a new position in which the successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships across Research Departments within the University of Leicester, as well as external agencies and institutions, and will work with senior management, academic and business development staff across the University to raise the profile of the department and develop and support a portfolio of funded research in addition to exploring other commercial opportunities.
This is a full-time fixed term contract for two years (part time considered), based at the Leicester General Hospital.
The role holder will be joining the Diabetes Research Centre Senior Management Team. The Centre is internationally recognised for its research in diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and also hosts the Leicester Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) East Midlands. The post provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious new Business Manager to contribute to the on-going development of the Research Centre.
