Research
The Centre for Ethnic Health Research has a clear vision of reducing health inequalities. To achieve this, we lead, collaborate and support research aiming to address inequalities prioritising the needs of communities who are experiencing barriers to health and social care.
Our research team work closely with our community-based Engagement Officers to engage with diverse communities, locally and nationally, to identify the priorities and needs of these communities around their health. Our Centre academics also work with international collaborators to tackle Global health priorities. Our team challenge the traditional norms of engagement and research by developing alternative methodologies to address equality, diversity and inclusion within research delivery and improve methods of communication and dissemination of research to underserved communities.
Our research team have expertise in quantitative and qualitative and strong research interests in Precision Medicine, Diabetes, Multiple Long-Term Conditions, Global Health, Mental Health, Health Literacy and Digital Health.
