Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to cancel our ‘Cultural Competence’ training which was due to take place on Tuesday 02 April and Thursday 16 April 2020.
We are currently looking into alternatives to deliver training courses arranged for later in the year. Further details about these training courses will be posted once we have more information.
We as an employer have a responsibility for safeguarding and keeping well our employees as well as protecting the public. Therefore, the Centre for BME Health has scaled back its community engagement work to a minimum and is being continued remotely where possible.
The Centre for BME Health, is still continuing to work, and our functionality has been reduced, however, our team can still offer support and guidance remotely. Please contact us at bmehealth-em@leicester.ac.uk with details of support you may require.
Please also follow us on @BMEhealthEM for latest news about the Centre, we will also be sharing hints and tips from others to help deal with this difficult time.
Current advice is to stay at home
- Only go outside for food, health reasons, or work (or where this absolutely cannot be done from home)
- Stay 2 metres (6ft) from other people
- Wash your hands as soon as you get home
